MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Business Meetings
VFW Post 6740 conducts business meetings monthly.  As per our Bylaws, they occur on the first Tuesday of every month at 1900 hours (7 p.m.).  Meetings are held at the Post.  The kitchen and bar stop serving 15 minutes prior to the meeting time.  The kitchen and bar remain closed during the meetings.

1.  Prior to the Members Meeting, the Auxiliary and Members meet as a group with the bar dividers opened.  This allows the Auxiliary members and the Comrades to share time, ideas, events, among the whole group.  Once that is complete, the Comrades move into the bar area and the Auxiliary continues on with their business.

2.  The Comrades gather solely in the bar area with the dividers closed to conduct the Members Meeting.  The Post Bylaws state that Comrades should refrain from eating during meetings and that alcohol shall not be consumed.  VFW member caps are the only appropriate cover during member meetings.  The VFW Manual of Procedure and Robert's Rules of Order guide the meeting protocol.

Members are encouraged to attend so you can have a voice and vote at your Post!
